This is something I've wanted to do as far as having an image that incorporates both black and white, and color. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. Times are somewhat dark with a lot of uncertainty but there is light and hope out there for the future. To me, the image is broken down as follows: The de-saturated structure that is actually constructed of coral, represents the not so fun times that most people might occasionally go through on their journey while being here. This black and white effect I've created is somewhat what a cold, rainy, dreary day may feel like. The oxidized light above, that is actually illuminated in the shot, was left with its colors intact and represents a glimmer of hope for anyone having a tough time. It's something to reach for. The colorful sunrise can be everyone's future. There is always something to look forward to and one can be in a state of despair and still see the amazing possibilities that the future may hold.
